At Farmington Valley Equipment, our Service Department strives to provide reliable and courteous service to all of our customers. From routine maintenance to major machine service, we offer it all. Combined, our service technicians have over 75 years of John Deere experience so you can be assured that the job will be done right.
In House Service

In house we offer a large variety of services for products from these following manufacturers:
John Deere, Scag, Stihl, Billy Goat, Ariens, Echo, Befco, Bear Cat Chippers, Blue Bird, Curtis Cabs, Giant-Vac, Timberwolf, Trac-Vac and more.....
If your machine is manufactured by a company other than the ones listed, please feel free to contact us to see if we can perform the service or repair. If we can not, maybe we can recommend someone who can.
Some of the services that we offer in house are:
-Routine service for trimmers, chainsaws, walk-behind lawn mowers, lawn and garden tractors, commercial mowers, compact tractors, utility vehicles (Gators), utility tractors and more.
-Mower blade and chain saw chain sharpening with a one day turn around.
-Minor or major repair for all equipment manufactured by those listed above.
-Tire Ballast loading with a product called Rim Guard. A Citrus based liquid that is non-corrosive and non-toxic, it is also water soluble.
-PTO Dynamometer - With this tool we are able to test the equipment under a load and normal operating temperatures to ensure peak performance and to assist in diagnosis.
On Road Service
Ready to mow is a tool that allows us to be able to perform routine maintenance right on site in your driveway. The Ready-To-Mow service is a 12-point service that includes: Inspecting of belts, cleaning debris from engine compartment, replacing the sparkplug, inspecting or changing the air filter, checking the battery voltage and continuity as well as cleaning the terminals, changing and disposing of oil and replacing the oil filter, greasing the axle and mower spindles, testing the operation of the brakes, carburetor and transmission, sharpening the blades, checking the balance and straightness of the blades to avoid vibration, cleaning built-up debris from under the mower deck, checking the cutting level of the mower deck, test operation of safety systems, and check the tire tread and pressure. Besides the routine preventative maintenance, we also offer change over of attachments, servicing of snowblowers and small repairs on lawn and garden equipment.

For those slightly larger on road repair jobs, we have this fully equipped utility truck. With a welder, torches, air compressor, parts, special tools, and a fully trained full time technician, you will be sure to get the best service support on the road.
